Our winter tips …

Rosskopf/ Monte Cavallo ski area

Varied, sunny and family-friendly. The Rosskopf/Monte Cavallo ski area lies just a few minutes’ drive from Maria Trens and welcomes you with 20 kilometres of ski slopes of every degree of difficulty. Vipiteno Christmas Market

“Christmas bells”- that’s the theme of this year’s Christmas market in Vipiteno, which every year attracts many visitors to the alpine city. This is the time of the year when the houses of the Old Town are decorated with many small lights, the streets are filled with Christmas songs, the smell of mulled wine pervades the air and beautiful handicrafts from the region are displayed on the market stalls.

Night tobogganing

The 10 km long snowy toboggan run on Rosskopf/Monte Cavallo is one of the longest natural toboggan runs in South Tyrol. Once here, you can’t miss the night tobogganing: two evenings a week in the winter season the track is illuminated and stays open until midnight. Of course, the surrounding mountain huts also will close later than usual!
